Tips to match your 5 a Day

Research proves that fruit and vegetables can protect us from a range of illnesses, from cancer to heart disease. The World Health Organization has found that 85% of adult cancers are avoidable by eating those five portions of fruit and vegetables (each portion should be 80g).

There are plenty of ways to add more fruit and vegetables to your daily meals. Here are some ideas to get you started:

At Breakfast

  • Add fresh fruits or even dried fruits to cereals or lower-fat yoghurt.
  • Add mushrooms or tomatoes to scrambled eggs.
  • One glass (150ml) of Del Monte Ultra Fresh Juice equals one of your 5 a day.
  • One glass of Del Monte Fresh Fruit Smoothie (tropical or strawberry banana) equals two of your 5 a day!

At Lunch

  • Add some crunch to your sandwiches with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber or grated carrots.
  • Sticks of cucumber, peppers and carrots. Our range of fresh cut veggies & dip’ n munch will surely satisfy your craving!
  • How about dips? Del Monte Gourmet Hommos and muttabal are great healthy ways to match your 5 a day.
  • Indulge in heavenly sweetness with Del Monte® Chocolate Covered Fruits. Covered with premium Belgian chocolate, you have the choice between strawberries, bananas, apple & pineapple chocolate covered!

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
